Active with Asthma
The American Lung Association is sponsoring a one-day asthma education event. Active with Asthma will be held Friday, August 13, 2010, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Principal Park in Des Moines. Children will learn how to manage their asthma, eat healthy and be active. The event is open to children ages 6-14 (must have completed Kindergarten). There is a registration fee of $50 per child which includes a healthy lunch and snacks throughout the day. Active with Asthma is also open to siblings of asthmatic children. A free parent education session will be available from 1-3 p.m.
